To our brothers and sisters at Redeemer Bible Church, who we deeply love and miss,
Jessica and I have long been wanting to formally thank you for supporting us as we were sent out from your midst last Summer in order to attend seminary. Leaving the congregation of believers you have been covenanting with for years is a heart-wrenching thing to do; indeed, we would never have considered it if it were not for those of you who encouraged us to enter long-term ministry.
In addition to this, your willingness to help us every step of the way has been a huge blessing. In particular, we would like to thank you for your prayers, your words of counsel, your labors during our move, especially the young adults who helped us pack up our home and move it three hours away with us, your gifts, and your financial support. We thank those of who you purchased books for us, and others who bought food for us, and for all of you who joyfully contributed to our tuition payments last semester. Further, many of you made time to stay in touch with us after our departure. The Lord has met our every need and more through your loving generosity, for which we are ever grateful.
Along with the Fosters, we have joined Christ Covenant Church, a thriving Pillar Network church in North Raleigh. Shortly after our move, we were welcomed into the congregation as family and the elders quickly took us under their wings. Jacob and I, along with several other aspiring men at the church, were invited to become pastoral interns beginning Spring of this year. This internship has been a huge blessing, helping to form our hearts and minds for a life of ministry. Furthermore, the Lord has given us many friendships and connections to the mission field through the school. In addition to all of these, Jessica and I were blessed with a beautiful baby boy in April, whom we named Oliver Tyndale Rhoades.
Please continue to pray for us as we learn to parent, manage busy schedules, and prepare for long-term ministry overseas.
To our God and Father be glory forever and ever!
We send our love to you, along with the Fosters and your brothers and sisters at Christ Covenant Church. Daivanvesh sends his greetings as well.
Peace be to you, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Grace be with you, who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible,
The Rhoades
