Sherry and her husband David are originally from Arkansas, but have lived in Fredericksburg since 2001. David works for the federal government which is what brought them to Virginia. Their son, Caleb, was born here in 2004.

Sherry was an elementary teacher until Caleb was born. For the first few years of his life, she was able to stay home with him. When he was four she was offered a position as an assistant director in the preschool department at Spotswood Baptist Church where she worked for six years. After that, she taught Pre-K at a local Christian school for three years.

She feels very blessed for the opportunity to combine her love for the Lord and children in her position as the Children’s Director at Redeemer.
